Event booking notes

Located at 530 E 8th St, STE 600 (Apex Loft building) — not the main 1024 Santee building. Rooftop B is open-air, so bookings are weather-dependent.

Hourly event pricing and the minimum booking length are shown live in the booking widget above. Catering, alcohol, and amplified sound are allowed with prior approval. Please send us an email to info@apexphotostudios.com if you have any questions regarding the details of your event. Proof of liability insurance is required and due 72 hours before your event ($1M / $3M aggregate, naming Apex Photo Studios, LLC as additional insured).

How many guests can Rooftop B hold for an event?
Rooftop B is 7,000 sq ft and comfortably holds up to 30 guests for an event.
Is Rooftop B accessible by elevator?
No, Rooftop B is not accessible by elevator. The elevator stops on the 6th floor, and from there you access the rooftop by walking up 3 flights of stairs. Please keep this in mind for guests and for load-in of event furnishings or catering.
Can we serve food and alcohol?
Yes — events with catering and bar service are welcome. Reach out and we’ll go over the specifics for your event so everything’s set for the day.
Is it a good spot for photos at the event?
Absolutely — Rooftop B is fully open-air with an uninterrupted downtown LA skyline and golden-hour light all day, which makes a stunning backdrop for event photos.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Rooftop B is fully open-air, so bookings are weather-dependent. If conditions look risky for your date, get in touch and we’ll help you plan around it.
Does Rooftop B come with an interior space?
No, Rooftop B does not come with an interior space. The Loft can be rented in addition to the rooftop for extra event, staging, or green-room space.
Can I rent tables and chairs?
Yes, we have table and chair rentals available for events.
