Photo Studio Rental Prices in Los Angeles

Apex Photo Studios rents photography, video, and podcast studios in Downtown Los Angeles starting at $55 per hour. Most studios range from $55 to $185 per hour with a standard 4-hour minimum. Rooftop shoot locations start at $105 per hour, and event spaces start at $150 per hour.

• Studio A, Daylight Studio with Cyc Wall: $75/hr, 4-hour minimum. Natural light plus a seamless cyc.
• Studio B, Blackout Studio: $55/hr, 4-hour minimum. Best for lighting-controlled photo and video.
• Studio D, Sunrise Daylight Studio: $60/hr, 4-hour minimum. Bright morning natural light.
• Studio F, Morning Light Studio: $105/hr, 4-hour minimum. Soft daylight for portrait and product.
• Studio E, Large Skyline Cyc Studio: $135/hr, 4-hour minimum. 3,000 sq ft with cyc wall and downtown LA views.
• Rooftop A, The Apex Roof: $160/hr, 2-hour minimum. Rare rooftop with a cyclorama wall.
• Studio C, Full-Service Podcast Studio: contact us for package pricing.
• The Apex Loft: $185/hr, 6-hour minimum. Industrial penthouse loft with gym and black matte flooring.
• Rooftop B, Loft Rooftop: $105/hr, 4-hour minimum. Open-air downtown rooftop.

Add-Ons and Other Spaces

• Rooftop A Cyclorama wall service: $105, includes up to three moves and a fresh coat of white paint before your session. For safety, the cyc wall is adjusted by Apex staff only.
• Equipment rentals: lighting, grip, and camera gear priced separately, available with any booking.
• Event spaces: start at $150 per hour.

Good to Know Before You Book

Studios book by the hour with a per-space minimum (most are 4 hours; Rooftop A is 2 hours; The Apex Loft is 6 hours). Proof of liability insurance is required and due 72 hours before your booking, naming Apex Photo Studios, LLC as additional insured. Apex is pet-friendly for dogs and cats with prior approval. Pay-to-park lots near the 1024 Santee Street studio typically run $20 to $25, cash only with ATMs on-site.

If a time is available, you can book instantly for that date and duration.

You can find convenient pay-to-park lots near both Apex Photo Studios locations.At our 1024 Santee Street studio, there are three nearby pay-to-park lots.
They are cash only, have ATMs on-site, and typically range from $20–$25.
At our 530 E 8th Street studio, several pay-to-park lots are available in the area, most located along San Julian Street.For parking maps and details about reservations at our Santee location, please visit our Parking Information page.

Please confirm operating hours with lot attendants. Apex Photo Studios is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or lost/stolen property. Prices may vary.

Proof of liability insurance is required and due 72 hours prior to the commencement of the Term. Producer shall provide to Apex the certificate of insurance and endorsement with the Apex named as an additional insured. Producer shall email the certificate of insurance and endorsement toinfo@apexphotostudios.comor fax to 213.624.7014. Producer is responsible for providing a Certificate of Insurance and endorsement at the following minimum levels: a) Commercial Liability Insurance for a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate; and, b) Naming “Apex Photo Studios, LLC” as additional insured is also required. Producer assumes full responsibility and liability for any and all damages to the Studio and surrounding site.

Yes! Our Rooftop A studio includes a cyclorama wall for seamless shooting.
The cyclorama rental fee is $105, which includes up to three moves and a fresh coat of white paint before your session.
Please note that the cyc wall can only be adjusted or moved by Apex Photo Studios staff for safety reasons.

We here at Apex are very pet-friendly. Dogs and cats are allowed on set only after a notice has been given by the client and approved by an Apex studio manager. Pets must be kept on leashes during the entire time they are here and remain in the studio at all times.

Written requests much be submitted to info@apexphotostudios.com and approved by staff for any other pets besides dogs or cats.

No use of real firearms is permitted on our premises. The use of replica firearms is prohibited without prior agreement between the production and the police (where it will be officially logged) and/or appropriate emergency service. Please note: It is the responsibility of the production/production company to ensure the safe custody of firearms at all times. A licensed armorer must be present during film shoots involving firearms.

We abide by all drone guidelines mandated by the FAA. In addition, Apex needs to have a prior notice if the usage of drones will be needed for any production.
