Producing the GIGABYTE Gaming A16 PRO x NVIDIA DLSS 4 Campaign
When GIGABYTE set out to showcase the Gaming A16 PRO powered by NVIDIA DLSS 4, the goal was to create a campaign that felt fast, immersive, and performance-driven. The laptop needed to be shown as more than a piece of hardware—it had to feel like the center of a complete gaming environment.

That’s where Apex came in. Apex Photo Studios supported the campaign from pre-production through final asset creation, helping develop the visual style, cast talent, build the gaming sets, source props, and capture a mix of cinematic video and product photography for GIGABYTE’s launch materials.
Scope of Work
For this project, Apex was tasked with producing a 60-second gaming video. This video was edited down to a 30-second version and a brief 15-second version. In addition, the campaign also included beauty photography of the laptop on two dedicated gaming-sets, feature shots of the product, and finally several lifestyle images of the laptop in use and on the go!
Casting for the Gaming Story

The casting approach focused on finding talent who could naturally fit into the world of the product. For a gaming laptop campaign, the actor needed to feel believable as someone using the device in a real gaming environment—not overly staged or disconnected from the setup.

The talent’s role was to bring movement and lifestyle context to the campaign while keeping the GIGABYTE Gaming A16 PRO as the hero. Rather than relying only on static product shots, the campaign included an actor to show how the laptop fits into an active gaming routine.

This helped the campaign feel more immersive. There suddenly became a story to tell, the product became part of the environment, giving the video a sense of energy and scale while allowing the product’s design and features to stay front and center.
Building the Gaming Set
A key part of Apex’s work was building two gaming-themed sets that matched the performance-focused tone of the GIGABYTE Gaming A16 PRO. The creatives decided to implement a cozy, gamer-friendly environment, such as a decked-out living room, complete with RGB lighting and an original Xbox!

Apex’s second choice was a no-brainer: A gaming desk where victories and battles are won. A simple background with RGB lighting to bring some color to the set. Hand-selected desk accessories help to unify the atmosphere and sell a minimalist gaming desk set.

The result was a setup that could support both cinematic motion shots and still photography, allowing the same environment to deliver a broad range of content. These sets were created in Apex’s Blackout Studio B.
Sourcing Props for a Performance-Driven Look
For the gaming laptop campaign, props were selected to make the set feel authentic to the gaming audience while maintaining a clean commercial look. The goal was not to crowd the frame with accessories, but to create a believable environment around the laptop.

Props and set dressing helped frame the product, add depth to the background, and support the visual language of gaming performance. The laptop remained the hero, while the surrounding elements gave the campaign a more complete lifestyle context.
Highlighting the Technology
The campaign was built around key performance messaging for the GIGABYTE Gaming A16 PRO and NVIDIA DLSS 4.

The production challenge was to make those technical features feel visual. Apex approached this by pairing product-focused camera work with a gaming environment that could communicate speed, power, and immersion. Close-ups emphasized the laptop’s build and interface, while wider gaming-set shots gave the product a world to live in.

Rather than treating the laptop as a static object, the campaign positioned it as the centerpiece of a complete gaming experience.
Final Deliverables
By the end of the project, Apex helped create a flexible asset package for GIGABYTE’s Gaming A16 PRO campaign. Together, the assets gave GIGABYTE a cohesive campaign library that could be used across web, social, paid media, and launch communications.
